Skiing and snowboarding is the primary reason many people choose Whistler for their holidays. Whistler Blackcomb is one of the world’s great ski resorts and offers a huge amount of terrain for everyone from the first timer to the season pro. Ski and Snowboard School: The ski and snowboard school offers lessons for beginners up to advanced riders. Private and group lessons are available for those who want to improve their skills.

Ski and Snowboard Rentals
There are no shortage of ski and snowboard rental shops around Whistler. At the base of each mountain there is a rental shop operated by the resort. In the Village there are also numerous ski rentals stores.

Whistler Snowmobiling
Snowmobiling in Whistler is an amazing experience. There is no shortage of snowmobile trails and wonderful views up in the Whistler backcountry that can be accessed with a snowmobile.

Whistler Snowshoeing Tours
Whistler is an ideal setting for a wilderness snowshoe experience. Take in the scenery and tranquility of the coastal mountain forests while snowshoeing through deep snow.

Whistler Dog Sledding Tours
Dog sled tours are a fun and exhilarating ride through the mountain trails.

Sleigh Rides
Winter sleigh rides with your special partner or with the whole family can be an unforgettable experience. Breathe in the cold fresh air and relax amongst the forest. A great idea during the Christmas break.

Tube Park
The Whistler Tube Park, located just above the base on Blackcomb mountain, is a favorite activity in the winter.  Ride up the magic carpet ‘elevator’ to the top of the hill and blast down on a tube – great fun.

Zip Trek
Feel like a superhero and zip above canyons and the forest canopy. Ziplining is one of the most popular activities in Whistler.

Whistler Heli-Skiing / Heli Boarding
For an unforgettable trip get into a helicopter and ski the glaciers and big peaks of the Coast Mountains.  Untracked powder, amazing views and world class terrain make heli-skiing Whistler top notch.

Whistler Cat Skiing / Cat Boarding
There are two cat skiing / cat boarding operations near Whistler. Catering to the intermediate to advanced riding untracked powder using a snow cat is definitely worthwhile.

Cross-Country Skiing: There is no shortage of excellent cross country skiing in the Whistler and Callaghan Valley. Right near the village you can go to the trails around lost lake, or head out to the 2010 Olympic Park in the Callahan Valley and ski some world class trails.
